FaeFrame Terms of Service

Effective: August 8, 2026 · Version 1.2.0

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FaeFrame. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use FaeFrame.

Note: These Terms are written in plain language to be useful to you. They are not legal advice, and they are not a substitute for the consumer protections that apply to you under your local law. Where applicable law conflicts with this document, applicable law controls.

1. Who May Use FaeFrame

You may use FaeFrame only if you meet the minimum age to use online services in your jurisdiction (16 in the EU/UK, 13 in many other regions, with local variation). You confirmed your eligible age when you accepted the minimum-age notice during signup.

The After Dusk realm — FaeFrame’s adult content area — is gated behind a separate adult (18+) attestation. Accessing After Dusk content without truthfully attesting that you are 18 or older is a violation of these Terms.

2. Your Account and Your Conduct

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that takes place under your account. You agree to:

  • Follow applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
  • Be truthful during signup, age attestation, and any age-restricted unlock.
  • Use the service only for its intended purpose — creating and conversing with fictional characters in good faith.

If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact the support address at the bottom of this page immediately.

3. Content You Create

You retain ownership of the characters, conversations, memories, and snapshots you create on FaeFrame. By creating them on the platform you grant FaeFrame a limited, non-exclusive license to store, route, and display that content back to you as needed to operate the service. We do not claim ownership of your creations and we do not use them to train any public-facing AI model.

You are solely responsible for the content you create. We do not pre-screen user-generated content and we are not liable for any content you author or interact with.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use FaeFrame to create, generate, request, or distribute:

  • Content involving minors — any sexual, sexualized, or romantic-with-sexual-undertone content involving a character who is under 18 or framed as such. This rule has no exceptions.
  • Content depicting real people without authorization — including but not limited to celebrities, politicians, athletes, streamers, content creators, your acquaintances, or any individual identifiable by name or description. Fictional characters are welcome. Impersonation of real people is prohibited.
  • Non-consensual sexual content — depictions where a participant has not or cannot consent (intoxicated to incapacity, unconscious, coerced, deceived, asleep, etc.).
  • Illegal content — incest, bestiality, necrophilia, content depicting real-life acts of cruelty, child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, or any other content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or in ours.
  • Harassment, threats, doxxing, hate speech, or abuse directed at any person or protected group.
  • Spam, scraping, automation, or service abuse — including any attempt to overwhelm the service, bypass rate limits, evade safety controls, exfiltrate other users' data, or circumvent the age gate.
  • Anything that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction or ours.

We use a combination of automated checks and the AI provider's own safety controls to enforce these rules. Messages that trip a safety check may be blocked before reaching an AI provider, and repeated violations may result in account action (see Section 7).

5. Content Realms

FaeFrame organises content into two user-facing realms:

  • Safe — the default; tasteful, fade-to-black, suitable for all age-eligible users. This is what all users see until they explicitly opt in to more.
  • After Dusk — the adult (18+) realm, covering charged sensuality, dark themes, and on-page intimacy between fictional adult characters. Available only to users who have truthfully attested to being 18 or older AND have opted in via the Adult Declaration in Settings. Real people are categorically excluded from After Dusk content regardless of framing, and always subject to the prohibitions in Section 4.

Internally, After Dusk content is further classified by FaeFrame’s moderation tools as “mature” (on-page intimacy with the explicit act off-page) or “explicit” (on-page adult intimacy). On-page explicit generation is routed through a separate adult-capable AI provider and is only enabled where the operator has explicitly turned that path on.

After Dusk content is intended for consenting adult users who actively choose to access it. It is not the default and it is not visible to users who have not unlocked it.

6. Service Availability and Beta Status

FaeFrame is currently in closed beta. This means:

  • The service is provided as-is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, feature parity across releases, data preservation across major refactors, or freedom from bugs.
  • Features may change, be added, or be removed without notice. We will provide reasonable warning for changes that affect your data (e.g. content migrations, breaking schema changes).
  • Closed-beta access is by invitation. We may revoke beta access at any time, with or without cause.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FaeFrame's liability for any claim arising out of or related to your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months — which during closed beta is $0.

7. Account Action

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have:

  • Violated these Terms or the Privacy Policy
  • Created content prohibited by Section 4
  • Abused the safety, rate-limit, or age-attestation systems
  • Acted in a manner that endangers other users, the service, or our legal standing

When practical we will explain the reason for an account action and give you an opportunity to respond. You can appeal an account action by emailing the support address at the bottom of this page.

You may close your account at any time by emailing the support address. See the Privacy Policy for details on data deletion.

8. Intellectual Property

The FaeFrame name, logo, design system, and underlying software are the property of the FaeFrame operator. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the platform itself without permission.

The fictional characters and stories you create on FaeFrame are yours, subject to the limited license you grant us in Section 3 to operate the service.

9. Copyright & Intellectual Property of Uploaded Content

You may only upload content that you own or have the necessary rights or permissions to use. By uploading content to FaeFrame — including character portraits, taglines, backstories, dialogue, artwork, and any other authored material — you represent that you have the legal right to do so.

FaeFrame respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its creators to do the same. Fan characters are permitted, but creators remain responsible for respecting the rights of the original owners of any source material they draw from.

If a copyright owner submits a valid takedown request, we may remove or disable access to the reported content. Repeat infringement may result in warnings, content removal, account restrictions, suspension, or permanent account termination.

10. Third-Party AI Providers

FaeFrame routes character responses through third-party AI providers (see Section 4 of the Privacy Policy for the current list). Those providers operate under their own terms and safety policies. By using FaeFrame you understand and accept that your messages will be sent to and processed by those providers.

If a third-party provider is unavailable, FaeFrame's response quality or availability may be affected. We are not liable for outages, content moderation, or output behavior of any third-party provider.

11. Changes to These Terms

When these Terms materially change we will increment the version number at the top of this page and prompt you to re-acknowledge on your next sign-in. Continued use of the service after the version is bumped constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the FaeFrame operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Where applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you stronger protections, those protections apply.

We prefer to resolve disputes informally — please email the support address first and give us a reasonable chance to make things right before pursuing formal action.
